For the second chapter of the Imaginary Cities series, Burberry and technology platform SSENSE explore the synergy between ecology and urbanism. Set against the unmistakable backdrop and energy of Chicago, the discourse on the future of contemporary landscapes is unpacked through an immersive experience at our Chicago store from 19 – 25 October.

Set in the Michigan Avenue store in central Chicago, the immersive space features specially commissioned work by digital artist Oscar Zabala, accompanied by audio composed by musician Alexander Mackay.

As you journey through the imagined landscape that’s punctuated by new Burberry outerwear, narratives of heightened duality are translated through industrial installations backed by nature-inspired soundtracks.

Imaginary To Reality

In celebration of the collaboration, an exclusive event was held at the space, attended by friends of Burberry. Live performances by Chicago-based singer-songwriter Ravyn Lenae and local dance troupe The Era Footwork continued the dialogue of contemporary dualities and brought the imaginary to reality.

Featuring technical pieces designed to navigate adventures from the city to the outdoors, our latest outerwear is an ode to our pioneering heritage. Discover puffer jackets in seasonal colourways, animated by the new Night Check – inspired by adventures and pioneers of our past guided by star-flecked skies – alongside lighter styles in contrasting colours of optic white and dark charcoal blue.
